One of the most popular ways of connecting to IRC is through a program known as AdiIRC and in order for one to connect to LunarIRC from AdiIRC one would type /server irc.lunarirc.net. If you would prefer a web based client (which is already configured) click here.
Once connected you can join the main channel, #LunarIRC or type /list and look for a channel that seems interesting to you. Enjoy your stay!
